Ultraceuticals is Australia's leading cosmeceutical brand, providing consumers with products scientifically tested to deliver real, visible results. We use proven, effective levels of ingredients to ensure optimum performance within the skin. Our products are clinically tested through panel tests to ensure efficacy. Ultraceuticals is proudly Australian made and owned. Our formulas have been developed to target skin concerns that are a result of one of the harshest climates in the world. The range is a popular in salon choice amongst many skin technicians and clinic owners.
Ultraceuticals products contain a high percentage of ingredients at varying strengths. We know that your prescription will be most effective when prescribed by an Ultraceuticals Skin Technician after they have understood your underlying trigger factors and analysed your skins current tolerance level. Without the assistance of a qualified Ultraceuticals Skin Technician, you may select products which aren’t suitable for your skin type. We would always recommend a customised regime that has been custom built for your individual skin in order to achieve the best possible end result.

We use ingredients including almond glycerides, soy extract, shea butter extract, sunflower seed oil. We also use ingredients which are comprised of a variety of extracts, some of which are derived from a nut source. In addition to this we cannot be certain whether or not some of our raw ingredients that we purchase from other suppliers have come into contact with nuts during the manufacturing process.
If you are concerned, we would advise doing a patch test to check for any allergic reactions before using any of our products.
Our products have been tested to have a shelf life of a minimum of 30 months. However our therapeutic sunscreens, have a shelf life of between 2 to 3 years. Once a product is opened, we recommend that it should be used within 6 months.
Some products can deliver immediate skin improvements. Some clients have reported seeing results the very first time they use the products. Many say their skin looks more hydrated, smoother and appears more revitalized and healthy. However, if you are looking to target longer-term skin concerns such as hyperpigmentation, photo ageing or acne you will need a minimum of 90 days to see real visible results. It is important that you follow the recommended home care and plan recommended by your professional skin technician in order to optimise your results and ensure you start off with the correct product strength.
Our 'cleanse’, ‘moisturise’ and ‘protect’ products can be used daily without needing to precondition your skin. However, we suggest our ‘Treat’ category products be introduced slowly to the skin, starting with every alternate day or night for one (1) month gradually building to daily use as tolerated. Always apply SPF 30 or higher during the day when using Ultraceuticals treatment products. Always follow the directions of your skin technician and consultant and always read the label and warnings on pack.
Many of the Ultraceuticals treatment ranges are designed in a stepped system with a progressively higher level of the more concentrated ingredients in each level, so that your skin becomes accustomed to the product before you introduce a higher strength product. This helps avoid adverse skin responses to the potent ingredients. Our Ultra A Skin Perfecting Serum (and Concentrate) and our Even Skintone Serum (and Concentrate) should only be used once your skin has become accustomed to the Mild strength serums in the range. Please consult your local Ultraceuticals Expert salon, clinic or David Jones counter representative to discuss your specific skin concerns before using these products.
Yes, you should only apply a small amount around the eye area, taking care not to apply too close to the eye and avoiding the eyelid. Start from the arch of the eyebrow and gently spread out toward the temple, then continue under the eye, along the orbital bone towards the bridge of the nose. Application of treatment eye products such as the Ultra A Perfecting Eye Cream and Ultra C Firming Eye Cream is suggested to be applied once a day to the eye area on alternate days for one (1) month, gradually building to daily use as tolerated.
Ultraceuticals is all about performance and efficacy; this is what makes a true cosmeceutical. Wherever we can obtain the results we need for our customers using natural ingredients, we will do so. We use many natural ingredients including Green Tea Extract, Grapeseed Extract, Oat Flour, Borage Oil, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract, Bearberry Extract and Liquorice Extract. Our natural ingredients are used at a level that will ensure results, and in many cases this means using very expensive natural extracts at very high levels. Ingredients are obtained from non-genetically modified and environmentally sustainable resources where possible.
The majority of the ingredients used in our products are either synthetically derived or derived from plants. We use cholesterol derived from sheep’s wool in some products, and we therefore cannot claim to be a vegan brand.
Ultraceuticals uses alcohol in some products where it is a critical element of the formulation to maximise the effectiveness of ingredients such as Vitamin C. In these cases, we are careful to limit the alcohol loading to a minimum requirement to minimise any possible adverse skin responses and drying effects, but as always discontinue use of signs of irritation appear.
Some Ultraceuticals Mineral Defence sunscreen products do contain ingredients at the nano-scale, this is necessary to achieve a high SPF factor whilst maintaining a great overall skin feel. Rest assured that these goods have been tested to the highest Australian standards and comply with the Australian regulatory authorities TGA and NICNAS.
