Achieving optimal skin hydration is important for both healthy looking skin and comfort. Dryness in the skin occurs when the skin is producing too little oil, as opposed to dehydration which occurs when there is excessive water loss from the skin. Both oily and dry skins can be dehydrated. Ultraceuticals moisturisers are designed to tackle dehydration and work to nourish the skin's surface layers. It is important to choose a moisturiser that is suitable to your skin type. Thicker, creamier moisturisers (that contain more oils) are normally recommended for drier skin types, while oilier skin types might prefer lighter lotions (that contain less oils).
