Regular skin treatments here, regular injectables there, it’s important your Skin Technician knows exactly what’s going down with your skin. Your Skin Technician is not only your skin’s best friend but also your skin health coach and like any professional it’s vital they know exactly what’s going in and on your skin. So, while you might put skin treatments and injectables in two separate camps, the more your Skin Technician knows the better the outcome can be.
Go with the Flow
Investing in your skin is something we’re all for but it’s important to ensure that every treatment you’re undergoing works towards the same end goal — and that goes for the professionals who are onboard for the ride.
Let’s talk skin treatments:
During your initial 30 min Skin Health Consult with an Ultraceuticals Skin Technician you will be asked how long it was since you had your last injectable. This is important for a number of reasons, the first being that injectables can influence ‘Baseline Photographs’ taken during your first Skin Health Consult.
With each skin treatment, on average every 4-6 weeks, your Skin Technician will take another photo. This helps demonstrate and record the improvements our cosmeceutical homecare prescription and treatment protocol is having on your skin.
If your muscle relaxant or filler starts to wear off your skin could start to look worse by the time you have your second or third photograph, and your skin technician would need to attribute this change in your skin appropriately.
All in the Timing
Let’s talk timing after injectables:
You will need to wait 72 hours after having an injectable before you can have a paramedical peel or skin treatment. This allows for the injectable to have a full effect and helps to prevent the injectable from spreading to other unintended muscles or parts of the face.
Let’s talk timing after a cosmetic treatment:
Muscle relaxants or fillers can be administered immediately after having an Ultraceuticals cosmetic peel or treatment, you don’t need to wait 72 hours. Bear in mind that each injectable is different, so we strongly advise that you receive direct advice from the practitioner that administered your muscle relaxant or filler.
Maximising your Profits
Injectables can be sizeable investment but there are a variety of results-driven cosmetic skin treatments that are specifically designed to help target pigmentation, ageing, acne and uneven skin tone.
Ultraceuticals paramedical peel or treatment work best when prescribed by a professional Ultraceuticals Skin Technician but remember, the more your Skin Technician knows the better your outcomes so if you’re thinking of incorporating injectables on your skin to-do list get talking.
