As someone with combination skin who deals with uneven texture, dullness and oiliness, I’m always on the lookout for products that will smooth my skin and control my oily spots while still giving me a glow - but not the greasy kind. So, when I found out that Ultraceuticals was launching the Resurfacing & Pore Refining Serum; a serum that would help combat these concerns, I got my hands on a bottle and raced straight home to experience the magic for myself.
After my cleanse, I massaged 2 pumps of the serum into my skin; focusing on my forehead, cheeks and chin, where my concerns are most prominent. The texture was silky, non-sticky, lightweight and absorbed so effortlessly into my skin. My skin felt velvety to the touch. I was hooked, immediately.
After the first week of applying the serum, I noticed a visible difference in my texture. It looked and felt smoother, softer and more hydrated with less flakiness and uneven texture. I was already receiving comments on how soft and radiant my skin looked. Win!
To get into the specifics, the formula packs a punch of exfoliating ingredients, Mandelic and Salicylic Acids to deeply exfoliate and smooth skin texture. Then, there’s the addition of Niacinamide (Vitamin B3) and Sarcosine, both of which clear excess surface oils and visibly minimise the appearance of pores. Silica is also included which has a mattifying effect and works to reduce excess shine (a goodie for my oily skin).
