Are all of the products in the Ultraceuticals Range safe to use when pregnant or breastfeeding?
All ingredients in our products are used in compliance with Australian Government laws and regulations governing cosmetic ingredients. However, if you are concerned about using any of our products, in particular the Vitamin A range, during your pregnancy or while breastfeeding, we recommend you consult your Doctor or physician. Please note that all our ingredient lists are available on our website.
What is the Ultraceuticals difference?

Ultraceuticals is Australia's leading cosmeceutical brand, providing consumers with products scientifically tested to deliver real, visible results. We use proven, effective levels of ingredients to ensure optimum results that you can see. Our products are clinically tested through panel tests to ensure efficacy. Ultraceuticals is proudly Australian formulated and owned. Our formulas have been developed to target skin concerns that are a result of one of the harshest climates in the world. The range is a popular in-salon or spa choice amongst many skin therapists, estheticians, and medispa/salon owners.

Does Ultraceuticals conduct any product testing on animals?

No, Ultraceuticals does not test products on animals.

Ultraceuticals conducts internal clinical tests on willing human participants.

What does the term ‘Cosmeceutical’ mean?

Our cosmeceutical products are often recommended by a trained esthetician. Cosmeceuticals often combine several powerful ingredients together.

Why is an Ultraceuticals Skin Consultation recommended when purchasing my skincare products?

Ultraceuticals products contain a high percentage of ingredients at varying strengths. We know that your skincare routine will be most effective when recommended by an Ultraceuticals Skin Expert or esthetician after they have understood your underlying trigger factors and analyzed your skin's current tolerance level. Without the assistance of a qualified Ultraceuticals Skin Expert or esthetician, you may select products that aren’t suitable for your skin type. We would always recommend a customised routine that has been recommended for your individual skin concerns in order to achieve the best possible end result.

Where can I purchase Ultraceuticals?

We recommend visiting an Ultraceuticals Ultra Skin Expert or esthetician for a thorough skin consultation before purchasing and using our products. Ultraceuticals is stocked in leading salons, clinics, and medispas across Australia, New Zealand, the United States, and Ireland. Find your nearest Ultraceuticals stockist location here. If this is not convenient for you, you can also book an Online Consultation with our Ultra Skin Experts. Book an Online Consultation here.

Do Ultraceuticals products contain nuts?

We use ingredients including almond glycerides, soy extract, shea butter extract, sunflower seed oil. We also use ingredients that are comprised of a variety of extracts, some of which are derived from a nut source. In addition to this, we cannot be certain whether or not some of our raw ingredients that we purchase from other suppliers have come into contact with nuts during the manufacturing process.

If you are concerned, we would advise doing a patch test to check for any allergic reactions before using any of our products.

What is the shelf life on Ultraceuticals products?
Our products have been tested to have a shelf life of a minimum of 30 months. However our therapeutic sunscreens, have a shelf life of between 2 to 3 years. Once a product is opened, we recommend that it should be used within 6 months.
How soon will I start seeing results from using Ultraceuticals products?

Some products can deliver immediate skin improvements. Some clients have reported seeing results the very first time they use the products. Many say their skin looks more hydrated, smoother, and appears more revitalised and healthier. However, if you are looking to target longer-term skin concerns such as uneven skintone, congestion, and premature skin aging. You will need a minimum of 90 days to see real visible results. It is important that you follow the recommended home care and plan recommended by your Ultra Skin Expert in order to optimize your results and ensure you start off with the correct product strength.

Can I use Ultraceuticals products every day?

Our 'cleanse’, ‘moisturise’, and ‘protect’ products can be used daily without needing to precondition your skin. However, we suggest our ‘Correct’ category products be introduced slowly to the skin, starting with every alternate day or night for one (1) month gradually building to daily use as tolerated. Always apply SPF 30 or higher during the day when using Ultraceuticals corrective products. Always follow the directions of your Ultra Skin Expert or aesthetician, and always read the label and warnings on the pack.

Can I use the Concentrate strength serums straight away?

Many of the Ultraceuticals corrective ranges are designed in a stepped system with a progressively higher level of the more concentrated ingredients in each level, so that your skin becomes accustomed to the product before you introduce a higher strength product. This helps avoid adverse skin responses to the potent ingredients. Our Ultra A Skin Perfecting Serum (and Concentrate) and our Even Skintone Smoothing Serum (and Concentrate) should only be used once your skin has become accustomed to the Mild strength serums in the range. Please consult your local Ultraceuticals Skin Expert or aesthetician to discuss your specific skin concerns before using these products.

Is there a specific way to apply the eye creams?

Yes, you should only apply a small amount around the eye area, taking care not to apply too close to the eye and avoiding the eyelid. Start from the arch of the eyebrow and gently spread out toward the temple, then continue under the eye, along the orbital bone towards the bridge of the nose. Application of treatment eye products such as the Ultra A Perfecting Eye Cream and Ultra C Firming Eye Cream is suggested to be applied once a day to the eye area on alternate days for one (1) month, gradually building to daily use as tolerated.

Does Ultraceuticals use natural ingredients?

Ultraceuticals is all about performance and efficacy; this is what makes a true cosmeceutical. Wherever we can obtain the results we need for our customers using natural ingredients, we will do so. We use many natural ingredients including Green Tea Extract, Grapeseed Extract, Oat Flour, Borage Oil, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract, and Liquorice Extract. Our natural ingredients are used at a level that will ensure results, and in many cases, this means using very expensive natural extracts at very high levels. Ingredients are obtained from non-genetically modified and environmentally sustainable resources where possible.

Are Ultraceuticals products vegan?

The majority of the ingredients used in our products are either synthetically derived or derived from plants. We use cholesterol derived from sheep’s wool in the below products, and we therefore cannot claim to be a vegan brand.

Cholesterol containing, non-vegan products include:

-Ultra Moisturiser Eye Cream

-Ultra Replenishing Mask

-Ultra Hydrating Lotion

-Ultra Moisturiser Cream

-Ultra Rich Moisturiser Cream

Does Ultraceuticals use synthetic fragrances?
We do not use any synthetic fragrance in our products - only essential oils or extracts. All our products are free of propylene glycol, parabens, synthetic dyes and fragrances.
Why does Ultraceuticals use alcohol in some of our formulations?

Ultraceuticals uses alcohol in some products where it is a critical element of the formulation to maximise the effectiveness of ingredients such as Vitamin C. In these cases, we are careful to limit the alcohol loading to a minimum requirement to minimise any possible adverse skin responses and drying effects, but as always discontinue use of signs of irritation appear.

We recommend avoiding applying your Ultra A Skin Perfecting Serum or Ultra A Perfecting Eye Cream 48hrs prior to all facial waxing & specialised treatments. You can commence using these products again 48hrs after facial waxing and 5-7 days following specialised treatments.

Ultraceuticals Corrective Serums are designed to be used with your daily essential products such as cleansers, moisturisers, and sun protection. This is to ensure that our highly efficacious correctors are used with products that contain ingredients to help complement and support healthy skin daily.

All Corrective Serums are introduced one at a time over a 90 day period. We recommend you book in for a consultation with an Ultra Skin Expert who will create a Skin Journey Recommendation for your specific concerns. Within this Skin Journey Recommendation, they will show you how to introduce each serum to help optimise your skin results.

Why do I need a qualified skin technician and professional treatments to help me achieve my desired results?
A qualified Ultraceuticals skin therapist or aesthetician undergoes specialised training to help you achieve optimum results for your skin type. Ultraceuticals professional skin therapists are highly educated and trained to recommend a progressive plan of both home care products and professional facial treatments designed to deliver real visible results in a 90 day period. They’re the best in the business and have a real passion for taking care of your skin. Combined with a great homecare routine, professional facial treatments can help you achieve the best possible results with our products.
